Date: June 23, 2006 Reviewer: A TripAdvisor Member, Ireland We chose to stay in Villa Le Scale for the first week of our honeymoon after reading its reviews on this site and we were not disappointed. From the moment we stepped inside the gates we were hugely impressed by the magical terraced gardens, bountiful trees, shrubs & flowers, complete with wonderful birdsong and totally shutting out the world outside, just what we wanted. It really has to be seen to be believed but we can only describe it as beautiful - we were warmly greeted on arrival in the elegant antique-filled lobby (a feast for the eyes) by Anna-Marie and after some refreshment were shown to our gorgeous venetian room. We quickly got used to enjoying a lovely breakfast and stunning view each morning on our private balcony. The staff were wonderful, helpful without being intrusive and always ready to cater for your every need. One of the highlights of our stay was a private boat trip around the island with Marcello, which Vincent kindly arranged for us and it was a wonderful way to see the island. If you're looking for a get-away-from-it-all piece of paradise, we couldn't more highly recommend villa le scale. < Back
